The above picture may be the first official image of the production version of the next generation Toyota Prius, AutoblogGreen reports. The photo (and the two below, after the jump) turned up on a Prius forum, several months ahead of the car's official scheduled debut in January 2009.

It looks to my eye as if a second generation Prius met up with the latest Toyota Matrix and learned a few tips. There's a bit more of a rake to the car, it's a little wider, and the front has been redesigned to appear more aggressive than the current model. It also fits in with recent camouflaged spy photos we've seen. What do you think? Let us know in the Comments section below.
