Best Buy is launching high-end, Insignia-branded GPS units that feature cellular data connectivity in addition to all the usual portable navigation gizmos, Engadget reports. The units will utilize the cellular connection to deliver real-time traffic reports and Google Local Search, both of which will be free for the first year after purchase.
The 3.5-inch Insignia NS-CNV10 model costs $399. For an extra $100, the 4.3-inch Insignia NS-CNV20 adds Bluetooth in addition to the larger screen. There's no word yet on how much it will cost to maintain the cellular data services after the introductory period is up. Both models will go on sale in Best Buy stores on October 19th.
