Ahead of the Paris auto show, several pictures of Lamborghini's hotly-anticipated Estoque four-door sedan appeared on a French Web site. AutoWeek is predicting that the iconic sports-car maker could double its sales within four years if it builds this low, ultra-long, super-aggressive sports sedan concept.
The article said that the Estoque, which will be powered by a tuned, 500 hp version of the Gallardo V10, could be the first car Lamborghini has ever made that would work as a daily driver.
"With our existing cars, there is day-by-day usability, but they are not used every day. Most of them are used for less than 5,000 kilometers a year," said Lamborghini president Stephan Winkelmann in the report. "This car is something different. It's for everyday use."
In addition, Lamborghini Research and Development Technology director Maruizio Reggiani added in the article that the Estoque could even take the lead in showing off the Audi Group's hybrid technology. Meanwhile, exotic chassis materials could help Lamborghini meet its emissions-reduction target of 40 percent by 2015; Reggiani said that the Estoque production car would be "lighter than anything else [all-wheel drive] out there."
