The tiny helicopter toy FlyTech Bladestar Flyer by WowWee is now officially available for shipping. Bladestar has two wings that rotate like a full-sized helicopter; it's also the first flying toy to feature sensor-based navigation. The integrated infrared sensors allow the Bladestar to fly around indoors without bumping into walls, the ceiling, or any of your furniture. The toy has two modes: auto-pilot and remote controller mode. In autopilot, it will fly on its own using its sensors for guidance, although you can also guide it using your hands. In RC mode though, you have full control over the gadget.

Aside from basic flying, the FlyTech Bladestar Flyer can take on another unit in aerial combat. Using the remote control, users can fire invisible infrared beams from their units; three hits would mean the opponent crashes and burns. The FlyTech Bladestar Flyer retails for $49.99 and comes with 2 spare propellers, 2 spare wings, and a carrying case.
