IDP-100.jpg

There's already a glut of nondescript digital photo frames in the market, but this one's newsworthy if only because it is Sony Ericsson's first. The IDP-100 digital photo frame sports a 7-inch WVGA screen and is compatible not only with the Cyber-Shot brand but other digital cameras as well.

Transfer of photos from an imaging device to the photo frame could be accomplished in a variety of ways including the use of Bluetooth connection, USB flash memory, and several types of memory cards. What's more, transferred images are auto-formatted to fit the frame's display screen. Aside from the ability to store up to 500 images in its internal memory, the IDP-100 also features auto-rotation, active touch control on the frame, and a world clock.

The Sony Ericsson IDP-100 digital photo frame will be available in select markets on the fourth quarter of 2008.
