Mini%20Calculator.jpg

Despite enormous leaps in engine tech and a growing number of greener cars, fuel economy and the fun-to-drive factor remain at odds. Luckily, striking just the right balance has just gotten easier thanks to the Carfun Footprint Calculator -- an interactive online tool that lets you gauge your car's place on the 'green vs. mean' spectrum.

Designed by MINI USA, the calculator is mostly an attempt to promote the Mini Cooper brand by offering industry-sourced environmental and customer satisfaction metrics of 197 new car models. The measure is what Mini calls a vehicle's "Carfun Footprint" based on 50% Fun + 50% Green formula. And although the result is less than 100% scientific, the calculator is well designed and fun to play with.

Want to know your ride's carfun footprint? Go here to find out.
