More details are surfacing regarding Chrysler's mysterious plug-in and other vehicles on the map for the next few years. As Bloomberg News reports, Chrysler plans to unveil seven new models in the next two years in an effort to revamp its aging product line in the face of record gas prices.

Chrysler President Jim Press didn't specify the exact vehicles, but the report said that they'll include a new Nissan-built subcompact, replacements for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chrysler 300C, and Dodge Charger, the new plug-in I covered last week, and two as-yet-unspecified other vehicles. Over the past year, Chrysler (under new management, post-Daimler) has already axed the Dodge Magnum station wagon, the Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible, the Crossfire coupe, and the Pacifica SUV.
