It's been a while since the last time there was news about the Ford Ka, but as Road & Track reports, Ford plans to finally debut the car at the Paris Motor Show. The new Ka wil be based on the Fiat 500's architecture, and according to the automaker, will "retain all the qualities which made the Ka so popular—its compact size, great looks, lively dynamics and fun personality, but [in] a fresh new package."

The report said that the Ka will make its movie debut in the next James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, this coming November. Actress Olga Kurylenko will be behind the wheel. "But don't expect to see the Ka on U.S. roads anytime soon; instead, we'll be getting the Mexican-built Fiesta (based on the Verve concept) sometime in 2010."
