Audi is gearing up to release its refreshed A3 for the 2009 model year, due to go on sale this month in dealerships around the country. The 2009 A3 now adds quattro all-wheel drive to its base 2.0 TFSI model when paired to the company's S tronic double clutch transmission. The car also sees mild styling updates inside and out, and leather, SIRIUS satellite radio, and an auxiliary stereo input are now standard across the board.

A separate Fourtitude report notes that Audi is also considering bringing over a diesel version of the A3, in the vein of the 2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Clean Diesel. It's possible the A3 would use a version of that exact 140 hp, 236 lb-ft of torque turbocharged four cylinder powerplant.
