Today at IDF, Intel unveiled the first dual-core Atom processor,

Our lead laptop analyst, Cisco Cheng is reporting from the Intel Developers Forum at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Today he managed to snag from footage from a demo of Intel's Moorestown platform, the successor to Atom, during an ultra-mobility keynote.

Cisco's take: Intel divulged more details about the Moorestown platform, successor to the Atom platform and slated to hit the market in 2010. Moorestown has its target set on CE devices, and one of the main features mentioned at IDF 2008 is that it plans to take idle power down by factor of 10, over the Atom.
