pinkberry.jpgVerizon today announced the release of pink versions of two Blackberry smartphones.

According to the wireless provider, the newer, pinker versions of the Blackberry Curve 8330 and Blackberry Pearl 8130, (which we would refer to here as "pinkberries," if the term didn't make us so damned hungry for some soft-serve) "capture all of the features and functionality of their silver counterparts, but the hip, pink colors give students added flair when they are at school or interviewing for an internship or job."

The Pearl is available now both online an in stores. The Curve is currently available only on Verizon's site and storefronts, with more retail establishments following on August 15th.

The pink Curve is available for $99.99, after a $70 rebate with two-year contract. The Pearl is $79.99 after rebate and contract.

All of which begs the question, once Blackberries go pink, do they go back?
