Another college semester is just around the corner, and it's not too early (or too late) to think about picking up some cool gadgets for your dorm room or apartment. Since we've almost finished our four years of the university experience, we searched the Web to find unique devices that might make your living quarters a little more fun.
Sonoro Cubo Audio System: Having a good music system is a necessity to help you focus on studying or to relax without headphones that fall out of your ears (like my original iPod earbuds). The Sonoro Cubo, an all-in-one audio source playing radio, MP3s, and CDs features a full-range speaker and an integrated bass reflux tube. Get one for $349 list, through the Saks Fifth Avenue Web site.
Take a look at the rest of the gadgets we found, after the jump:

Egg and Muffin Toaster: Who doesn't love egg-and-muffin sandwiches for breakfast? This toaster includes four slots for toasting and a hard boiled egg steamer that can cook up to eight eggs. It can also cook the sandwiches in only about 4 minutes, allowing you to make it to class or to that test on time. The toaster retails for $59.99 at X-treme Geek.

Portable Electronics Charging Station: So you have an MP3 player, a cell phone, and tons of of other electronic devices that require to be plugged in every now and then. Why should you plug several devices in different places throughout your room, when you can charge all of them in one place instead?
The Portable Electronics Charging Station from ThinkGeek may help. This handy station includes a built-in power strip with surge protector in the back to simultaneously plug in three electronic devices. Another feature is a flip open tray in front containing discreet recessed notches for quick and convenient access to the power cords. This can help your room not look like a spiderweb of cords and wires. The Portable Electronics Charging Station is available from ThinkGeek for $29.99.

USB 4-in-1 Web Cam: Possibly the most handy webcam ever--it can stick to (almost) any surface in your dorm. The microphone and webcam (complete with LED lights to make sure you look stunning) should be good for video conferencing via IM, Facebook, or even if the school newspaper/radio station starts its own blog channels on YouTube or Vimeo. Retails for $23 at USB.Brando.com.

Mini Fridge/Warmer (with Digital Thermostat): Need to eliminate the need to head down to the lounge's microwave? Get your freshman hands on this Fridge/Warmer combo. Chills to 44 degrees Fahrenheit and warms to 140. Ease of use assures that this will be perfect for the technophobic college student, if there are any of those. Priced at $99.00.

iPod Alarm Clock: Tired of the mundane sound of your alarm? Then you might want to wake up to your favorite tunes with the iPod Alarm Clock. This device lets you adjust any size iPod on the dock and you can set the time of the alarm on the handheld device itself. The clock features 6W 38mm speakers and retails for $69.99.
