TomTom fans in Europe can look forward to the high-end GO 940 LIVE, a refreshed version of the 930 portable GPS unit that now includes the company's HD traffic module, GPS Lodge reports. Like the previous model, the 940 will include IQ routes, Lane Assist, and Enhanced Positioning Technology.
The report said that the GO 940 LIVE will also include the company's "Live" package, which in the UK means that there will be a bundled HD Traffic subscription, safety alerts, a fuel price database, weather reports, and Google Search capability. It's expensive, though; the GO 940 LIVE will retail at 399 pounds plus VAT (about $868 U.S.), and once the trial subscriptions expire, service for the thing will cost between 10 and 15 pounds per month. No word yet on a U.S. release. (GO 930 LIVE pictured)
