Still holding out for that gPhone? T-Mobile, the nation's fourth largest carrier, will become the first to make available a Google Android phone. Designed by HTC, the handset may come early as October of this year, according to The New York Times.
Expected to hit before Christmas, the phone's release date is largely dependent on FCC approval. Google, HTC, and T-Mobile are apparently hoping to make the announcement of the handset official next month, in time for the holiday rush. Naturally, all three are refusing to comment on the phone's existence for the time being.
Google, for its part, has confirmed that Android handsets will, in fact, be available this year, but has declined to speak specifically about models or manufacturers.
