Imagine, for a moment, that you're in the midst being sued by the roaming herds of rabid lawyers currently roaming the grounds at One Infinite Loop.

Now, you've got a choice. You can either do your damnedest to appease the company during their latest litigious spree, or you can just throw caution to the wind and find yet another way to get under the company's notoriously thin skin.

Psystar, who's currently being hounded by Apple reps for their series of Mac clones, has apparently opted to the latter route. The company has started to address users' complaints about lack of OS backup by including a copy of Leopard with their systems.

Enhancing customer relations is always a good idea, of course, but heck, why not just ship the boxes with a clipping from one of Steve J's turtlenecks?

These SOB's need to be shut down hard and fast. It's obvious that what they're doing is illegal, very illegal. It looks like they want to go out with a bang and they're going to.

Having read the link provided in your article, it appears to me that what Psystar have started to do is to provide a booting disc to "allow [users] to reinstall their OS directly from the Leopard DVD included with their computer".

As the Leopard OS was already shipped to the Psystar customers with their computer, it seems providing a restore utility that allows it to be re-installed is of itself no big deal.
