 Inspired by the hit tweens' TV show iCarly, Imation, Viacom Consumer Products, and Nickelodeon have announced their line of new iCarly electronics under Nickelodeon's
Npower brand. Products include a webcam, a camcorder, a photo viewer, and digital camera—all affordably priced from $20 to $80. The devices come with
custom-designed iCarly Digital Diary Software for adding photos, videos, music, and text to personalize a digital diary or journal. Something that I'm sure the tweens will love!
First up is the iCarly Digital Video Camera ($79.99), which lets you shoot videos, edit them, and upload them to iCarly.com. The optional iCarly Action Cam Accessory ($24.99) consists of a steady-cam mount, on-camera lighting, and a detachable reporter-style microphone so that tweens can conduct interviews with their friends.
For budding photographers, the iCarly 3-in-1 Digital Camera plugs directly into a computer for photo transfers. It comes with photo-editing tools and will sell for $39.99.
Tweens love to chat online. The iCarly PC Web Cam ($19.99) can be used for video conferencing and live chat.
The iCarly Micro Photo Viewer ($24.99) is described as a portable digital photo album that stores up to 60 photos. Photos are displayed as a a slideshow on the screen. The flip-over cover protects the device and also acts as a desktop stand. I'm sure the Viewer won't have the best image quality, but most tweens won't notice.
In related news, Nickelodeon is expanding its line of SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! product lines to include an MP3 player, music dock, CD boombox, and more.
