The new Casio Exilim cameras come with a function that could make images look as if they've been through some Photoshopping sessions. The 10.1-megapixels Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z300 and the 9.1-megapixels Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z250 are both equipped with the new Exilim Engine 3.0 that gives the cameras a few new functionalities. These functionalities are "handheld night scene shooting" which recognizes if the camera is held by hand and stabilizes the image capture, "lighting shooting" which optimizes the images' lighting balance, and the "makeup function" which "beautifully capture people's faces."
The makeup function recognizes faces on the images and optimizes focus and exposure and is activated through the use of a dedicated button. More specifically, the makeup function makes skin look smoother and softens shadows on the faces. There are twelve levels of adjustment to choose from which you could view using the LCD screen first before capturing the image. Both digital cameras will be available starting August 29, with subsequent release dates of September 5 and 26, depending on the colors of the chassis.
