If you're a professional or someone who loves pinpoint precision from your mouse, Logitech just announced the V550 Nano cordless laser mouse for notebooks (PC and Mac compatible)--complete with a featuring the Clip-and-Go dock.

Gamers wanting something for the Dell XPS will probably enjoy Logitech's 2.4 GHz wireless technology that apparently eliminates delays and dropouts. The company claims that it exchanges data between the receiver and the mouse 300 times faster than conventional 27 MHz wireless technologies for cordless mice.

The V550 Nano incorporates a Plug-and-Forget Nano-receiver that stays against the side of the computer (protruding just 8 mm), so it doesn't have to be unplugged when you stow your laptop. Plus, it's the only Logitech cordless laser mouse offering 18 months of battery life. The V550 Nano automatically turns off when it's docked or when the Nano-receiver is stored inside the mouse.

The V550 mouse is complete with a scroll wheel and a button directly below that allows faster switching between applications.

Dressed in gray with silver accents and silver with cool-blue accents, consumers will receive two Clip-and-Go docks (silver and black) and a setup kit. Get your Nano in time for school this August for $59.99.

If by gaming you mean Solataire then perhaps this works. There is no way I would put a game at risk with a wireless mouse. These "respins" on old products make me wonder why Logitech thinks the gaming community would buy this garbage and don't they understand the credibility damage it does to their products that are truly for gaming? I look forward to planning COD4 against someone using this mouse :)
