The new Lenovo P960 is the company's first commercial phone to feature fingerprint scanning technology. My life is not that interesting to warrant such a feature, but I'm sure there are, uh, some of you with lives that will. Lenovo used Atrua Technologies' fingerprint touch control which is specifically made for mobile devices. Unlike other similar technologies, Atrua's uses less energy, less space, and less resource, allowing Lenovo to place it on the edge of the phone.
Besides the fingerprint scanning technology, the Lenovo P960 also has a "VIP recording" feature which automatically records phone conversations from certain numbers you designate. That'll be great for interviews or any other important conversation. A phone with a fingerprint scanner AND an automatic recording capability? Bond would approve.

I think it would be easier to just use the camera to take a picture of you and then compare that to the photo used to identify that this phone is yours to use. Every phone has a camera so it's just a matter of getting photo recognition software. To add extra protection, there could be a scrambled word that you would have to enter just like you do when you make a comment to prevent spammers from getting in and hacking.
