In early July, Kia confused everyone by releasing three teaser photos of its new Forte sedan, without so much as a single word of text explaining them. Now CarScoop has come through with a leaked brochure for the car that goes a long way in shedding light on exactly what the company has wrought. The car will, in fact, replace the Spectra as had been speculated.
In Japan, the car will range in price from about $11,200 to $18,500 (US dollars). It will be available with both a 124 HP 1.6-liter gasoline and a 128 HP 1.6-liter turbo diesel engine, the report said. It's expected that we'll see the car in mid-2009 as a 2010 model, with a coupe version to follow about a year later. It looks like the new car has much improved interior tech; the Spectra was a disaster in this regard. Check out this link for a slew of photos.
