Actress Jamie Lee Curtis is one of the first two folks to take delivery of a Honda FCX Clarity, the company's hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle. And as AutoWeek reports, she gives it a rave review so far. "I really wasn't expecting it to be so luxurious," Curtis said in a statement released by Honda. "It's luxurious, luxurious, luxurious! I love the interior layout, design and access to controls. It is user-friendly and very modern."
The report said that Curtis is the second of about 200 customers in the U.S. and Japan that will lease the vehicle over a period of three years, although most of those cars are slated for the U.S. Customers get a subsidized lease of $600 per month to drive the car, which sounds a lot like what GM was doing with the EV ten years ago. The FCX Clarity is good for a 280 mile range and achieves the equivalent of 74 mpg. It runs via an electric motor that uses electricity generated in the fuel cell, the report said, with the car's only emissions being heat and water vapor.
