The forums at MacRumors have a comment by a user who said he fell asleep with an iPhone 3G in his pocket, and woke up with a burned leg. "LonginottiFilms" said he woke in extreme pain, and quickly pulled the iPhone 3G out of his pocket. Some of the plastic cover had melted.
The dock connector had melted as well. Even more mysterious was the fact that the phone wasn't set to push emails and that the "Blazing 3G Speed" was disabled.
Another user, SFStateStudent, commented that, "If you set auto-lock to NEVER then that would explain why it got so hot."

Have you had any overheating issues with your iPhone 3G? Tell us in the comments.

Well, I'm popular now...
To explain the blue, I wanted to get a good picture so I used my 100w Spotlamp that I use for my filming... I guess you could say it smurfifies phones...
The weird thing is, it still works!!!

The REALLY weird thing is that it says 16GB on the phone, yet you claim it is a 3G?
Where does the conspiracy stop and the truth begin?!

the same thing happened to me. I was at work and had just used it.
16 GB is the memory 3G is the download speed.
