Gizmodo reports (via Kotaku via Edge) that we could be seeing a new handheld gaming device from Nintendo by the end of the year. That'd be sweet, considering all the great new games coming out this holiday season.
We reached a spokesperson for Nintendo, though, who couldn't (or wouldn't) substantiate the rumor: He had "absolutely no confirmation on this." Not exactly a "no," so we're forced to wait and see.
Apparently, DS sales have taken a dive in Japan, despite being solid everywhere else in the world. With all the hacks out there currently for the DS (turning it into a phone, running the Mac OS just to name a couple, the platform has lots of potential.

I think they should do it. Although they won't make one untill ds sales start to slow down which won't happen for a while. Also, the DS touch screen was a great idea, but i think they should just take sony;s approach. I would definately buy a PSP like Nintendo handheld with some of my favorite console games on the go over a DS with a bunch of lame spin-offs and dissapointments. I ove my DS but the games for it simply arent good enough.

I think they shoul make a new nintendo console over ther years the wii sold when it first came out being the first nintendo console that used cds but what was the point of usinf mini dvds? does any body know why they used mini dvds not full scale dvd like that ones that run in your dvd players than when the wii came out it sold big time i still remember how i camped out just to get crazy when it first came out but it was limited in stock people like the new look of the wii and its features like motion sencing then like every has a wii now they are still sold out by my area but then i heard that wii might go virtual like virtual glasses you coul wear or some like that
