The iPhone may be a lot of fun, but the Blackberry Bold gets your work done. That's the conclusion I drew after testing out Rogers Wireless' Blackberry Bold, now available to our faithful readers in Canada. AT&T users can read our full review too, and salivate in hope of what's to come south of the border.
There is one kind of Blackberry Bold that Americans can indulge in now, actually - the signature cocktail! We had it exclusively brewed up for Gearlog, so check out how to make a Blackberry Bold at home.
There are a few other Bold reviews out right now, but I think North Americans can only trust three: ours, the one from CTV in Canada and the upcoming review from Engadget. All three used actual, retail-quality, final, Rogers Wireless Bolds.
Other reviews don't use actual Rogers Bolds. They typically use pre-production or gray market hardware from other countries, which don't have the Rogers software build or Rogers optimizations. (For instance, Gizmodo's device is from CSL, a Hong Kong carrier.) The review from Australia's APCMag, for instance, is gorgeous, but they admit they were using a pre-production device with less-than-final software. That means their experience may not be the one you get with your retail model. That's true of the other "early" reviews you see on the Net, as well.
Our review is the straight-up final Rogers product, though. Tell us what you think.
