If you think that Lenovo's W700 ThinkPad is something really big to behold, you should take a look at the refreshed Precision mobile workstations from Dell. They'll literally make you say "wow."

The Precision M6400 is Dell's top-of-the-line 17-inch workstation. This laptop runs a Quad-core processor. The M6400 can support up to 16GB of memory—double the maximum count on a Centrino 2 platform. Other features include up to one terabyte of storage and the newest nVidia Quadro FX graphics card. No word yet on pricing for the M6400.

The Precision M4400 is the 15-inch version. The platform it runs will be Centrino 2 Quad-Core Extreme and will support up to 8GB of memory. The M4400 uses an RGB LED display, with a wider color pallet. You have a variety of wireless options such as cellular modems, Centrino 2 Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Battery options can be as big as a 12-cell battery. The starting price for the M4400 is $1,569.
