Media-player maker Archos has announced several new portable media players: the Archos 5, Archos 5G, and Archos 7, have high-resolution touch-screens and PC-type speeds.
Using the new TI ARM Cortex microprocessor, the new devices feature up to 320GB storage. The also an email application, redesigned user interface, HD video playback, and WiFi and/or 3.5. Hard drives range from 30GB to 320GB, and prices range from $350-$550.
The new devices are very thin and have 5- to 7-inch screens, with 800-by-480 resolution. You'll also be able to access TV shows, Web TV, radio stations, and thousands of widgets including weather, sports scores, and a calculator. Look for the new tablets on September 8th.
