Honda has released photos of its mildly refreshed 2009 Honda Civic, which will feature revised front and rear exterior styling, some trim level changes, and color choices. Inside, Honda now includes Bluetooth HandsFreeLink and steering wheel mounted controls with the navigation system, and a USB audio interface is now standard on EX, EX-L, Hybrid, and Si models.
The model trim changes are less revolutionary, and mirror what Honda has done near the end of past model cycles with prior generation Civics. The Civic LX-S Sedan debuts, which includes alloy wheels and sportier interior styling. A new Civic DX Value Package (DX-VP) Sedan adds air conditioning and an audio system, which frankly were two completely necessary features unless you live in Toronto and hate music. You can now get a leather interior and heated seats with the Civic Hybrid.
For the first time, electronic stability control (called "Vehicle Stability Assist" in Honda speak) is now standard on the Civic EX-L, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Si. Drivetrains across the board are untouched.
