Yes, the feverishly anticipated iPhone 3G has finally been tested and reviewed by PCMag.com's very own Sascha Segan and Tim Gideon. They affectionately call it the "Mac Micro."
"The iPhone 3G is the beginning of a new computing platform. With 3G and the App Store, the best iPod ever is now one of the best handheld computers ever. We struggled with a bunch of day-one bugs, but we're confident that Apple will work them out," says the review.
Tim and Sascha also comment on the faster network and say that the 3G is a formidable smartphone. It looks and feels a lot like the older iPhone. The review also says that it functions just like the older iPhone--which is good for those already used to its functions and behaviors.
However, like other reviewers, they also think that it has its weaknesses--notably the shorter battery life. The review also compares the 3G to other competitor phones, such as the Blackberry Curve.
