A new Kindle by October?
Amazon is reportedly prepping a revamped version of its Kindle e-book, which originally debuted in November 2007.
The second generation Kindle will be larger overall (shaped like a 8.5 X 11-inch piece of paper), though the screen size will remain the same, as will the form factor, according to CrunchGear. Expect some interface improvements, however. An "insider" tells CrunchGear that Amazon has "skipped three or four generations" for version 2.
The new models might also be available in different colors.
