Averatec's jumping on the all-in-one PC bandwagon. Like Apple, Dell, and Gateway before it, the company has introduced a self-contained desktop unit, but where other PC manufacturers before it have gone with slightly more cryptic single word names like "One" and "iMac," the Orange County-based company is opting for the more self-explanatory, if somewhat less buzzy name, All-in-One PC.

The new All-in-One features a 22-inch display, slot loading optical drive, 320GB of built-in storage, and a hi-def TV tuner. The PC runs Vista Home Premium, has a built-in 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a standard 2GB of RAM, and nVIDIA GeForce 8400 graphics.

"We are very excited to enter the market and confident that our All-In-One PC will have a positive impact for our brand," said the company's director of marketing, Darren Lee. "Our All-In-One PC is the perfect platform for those looking for style and performance in a svelte space savings design. From its small footprint to the integrated remote control caddy, our All-In-One PC is a hands down winner and marks another milestone for Averatec."

The Avaratec All-in-One PC will be available for $1,249 through Averatec's retail site.
