No one ever said segues were easy--especially in the business world, but heck Segway scooters have always had something of a spiritual connection to Apple computers anyway, right? First there's that whole underdog mentality (which, admittedly in the case of Apple, does really seem to go over that well anymore), and of course, who can forget the whole Steve Wozniak polo thing [Above]?

The connection is about to get a bit more concrete as Segway's chief technology officer, Doug Field, gets ready to transition over to the Cupertino-based computer company as a VP of product design.

As Tim O'Reilly points out, none of us can say for sure what he will be doing there (and let's face it, no matter how nicely we ask, Apple will likely just roll their eyes at us), but I suspect that the iMac is about to get a lot harder to tip over.
