Road & Track released some good interior photos of the redesigned 2009 Porsche 911, which so far includes both Carrera and Carrera 4 versions. The changes actually turned out to be more minor than were first hinted at—the most obvious updates turn out to be on the steering wheel, although the center console navigation is as robust as ever.
As before, there's a control stalk on the side of the steering column that connects to the trip computer to display real-time data, such as average speed, average fuel consumption, and outside temperature. The trip computer also works with the car's GPS navigation system.
The biggest news is still the car's brand-new, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission option, along with its ever-increasing hp (up to 345 hp, and 385 hp for S versions) and minor headlight and taillight revisions. The new cars come in all cases with bi-xenon headlights and new LED daytime driving lights, with Dynamic Bending lights as an option for the first time.
