Volkswagen is showing off its latest alternative-fuel-powered creation, the Tiguan HyMotion concept. The car features a hydrogen fuel cell system, which nets 107 horsepower by itself, and produces zero tailpipe emissions other than clean water vapor. It's also nearly silent in operation.

According to a company statement, the Tiguan HyMotion concept features a fuel cell system integrated in the engine compartment with an electric motor assist, giving it a total of 134 horsepower. That's good for a 0-60 of about 14 seconds and a top speed of 93 mph. Interestingly, the electric motor features a lithium ion battery that can be recharged either with regenerative braking or from the fuel cell.
