palmcentroblue.jpgBeginning tomorrow, Verizon customers will finally be able to get their hands on Palm's popular low-cost smartphone, the Centro.

The 4.2-ounce has made a big splash with consumers since first being released on Sprint (the phone has also subsequently been released for AT&T), due to the impressive number of smartphone features the company managed to jam into a small form factor (our lead phone analyst, Sascha Segan called the phone, "basically a Treo 755p crammed into a smaller case") at less than $100, after rebate.

Among the smartphone features offered on the Centro are Palm's trusty old OS; VersaMail 4.0 with built-in Microsoft Active Sync support; support for Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes and IBM Lotus Domino; feature-rich Web browsing; Google Maps support; and a full Qwerty keyboard.

Available on Jun 13th from Verizon's site and Verizon Wireless Communications stores, the phone will run $99.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate. The device will be available in a "crisp cobalt blue."
