Mio just leaped to the top of the gotta-have-it GPS pack with its Knight Rider-themed portable navigation unit. Engadget is reporting that it's basically the same as any other garden-variety Mio device—except that when you power this one up, the voice of K.I.T.T. (none other than original actor William Daniels) announces "Hello Michael, where do you want to go today?"
There's also a cartoon graphic of a black Trans Am on the display that acts as the location identifier for your car. And the unit itself features red LED lights on either side of the display. The report said the unit will debut in a few months and cost about $270 here in the U.S. Anyone who is slightly into the show should probably line up with deposits now.
