Klipsch is following up the success of last November's lightweight Image headphones by introducing a new entry into the line. The Image X5 is larger than its predecessor by 2mm in diameter, making it cheaper to manufacturer and less expensive for consumers, according to the company.
Like its predecessor, the new X5 silicon Contour Ear Gels reduce ear fatigue and provide noise isolation. The headphones also offer Klipsch's bass-reflex system and a full-range armature micro-driver.
The new entry into the line has led Klipsch to rename the original " world's smallest, lightest full-range earphones" the Image X10.
The Image X5 will be available later this month for $249.99. The headphones come with a 1-year warranty and a set of replacement Contour Ear Gels.
