JVC was also holding court today at Manhattan's Le Parker Meridien. Unlike Philips' decidedly diverse array of products, however, JVC was focused primarily on the camcorder space, showcasing a number of entries into the space, including the HD10, HD30, and HD40, all introduced yesterday.
We had the chance to take a closer look at those high-def camcorders, an iPod dock or two, and a particularly interesting line of HDTVs. All of that, after the jump.
JVC first introduced its "YouTube Camcorder," the GZ-MS100, back in May. Not much to add about this one, save for the introduction of a red version, due out in August.
Along with the aforementioned HD10, HD30, and HD40, JVC is introducing a compatible CU-VD50 Everio Share Station, designed for PC-free AVCHD and MPEG-2 burning and playback.
Everything else seems to have an iPod dock these days, so why not an LCD TV? JVC's P-series features a built-in dock for playing videos via iPods and iPhones. The iPod playback, including music, video, and image, can be controlled via remote. The TVs are currently available in 32-, 42-, and 47-inch models, with a new 52-incher following in August.
Speaking of iPod docks, JVC is jumping on the whole two-for-the-price-of-one bandwagon with the NX-PN7 Dual iPod Docking Station. The device simultaneously charges two iPods (or iPhones) and features a built-in Am/FM tuner, because it can. The NX-PN7 is available now for $149.95.
