Genius just announced the new SP-T1200 speaker system with a touch panel screen that lets you control function, volume, bass, and treble. This can remove some hassle from making sound adjustments, since everything is controlled on the front of the speaker.

After you change a setting, a light on the slide bar illuminates, giving the SP-T1200 a neat high tech look and feel. They are also compact and produce a 30-watt sound, making it easier for people to carry around and use with a laptop. Other features include a jack for headphones, audio cable, and an easily accessible mute button to turn off the sound.

The speakers are available in black-onyx for $99 at a variety of retailers, which can be found by clicking here.

Very swank. If they look as good as the promo picture up there, they'd look very very nice on my desk, especially at that price. ;)

Have to wonder though, that's awfully cheap for what looks like very attractive and technologically advanced speakers...curious what the catch is.
