iBoom HifiWhen I first saw Focal Point's iBoom HiFi, the first thing that came to mind was that if anybody wanted to find an altar to worship Apple's prized product, this is the dock that comes closest to the concept. The iBoom HiFi is a high-fidelity speaker dock that's compatible with all types of dockable iPods. It boasts dual 1-inch tweeters and a 3-inch subwoofer that provide a 5Wx2 output power. The device is a bit heavy at 2kg, although it's probably nothing you cannot carry.

Mentioned features aside, the dock has a touch sensitive control panel with a Blue LED display wherein you can adjust the treble and bass output; plus you can even use your Apple remote control on it. Of course, when not in use, the dock charges the iPod that's plugged in. Focal Point's iBoom HiFi will be available by the end of June in Japan for approximately $280.
