All your favorite TV series may have wrapped up for the summer, but fear not: Porn producer Digital Playground has vowed to release a new Blu-ray title every week.

The company said Monday that all its future releases will be available on standard DVD and Blu-ray, and Digital Playground will re-release one older movie each week on Blu-ray. By the end of the week, the company will have 21 Blu-ray releases.

"We committed ourselves to the high definition format over 4 years ago and we continue to prove our foresight with our extensive Blu-ray library," according to Digital Playground founder Joone.

Digital Playground said in January that Blu-ray was outselling HD DVD 2 to 1.

As the high-def-format battle raged over HD DVD versus Blu-ray, many looked to see what direction the porn industry would take given its influence in helping VHS triumph over Betamax in the 1980's. The industry initially backed HD DVD because it was cheaper and reportedly more adult friendly, but with the collapse of HD DVD this year, many more companies like Wicked, Hustler, and Vivid have been forced to turn to Blu-ray.
