On Sunday I attended German Car Day at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline, Massachusetts. The Larz Anderson museum hosts regular shows such as this one, Italian car day, and more throughout the year. It costs just $20 to register and show your own vehicle out on the lawn; they give you a card to fill out, which you place on your dashboard. My friend Warren showed off his 1998 Mercedes E300D turbo diesel. Meanwhile, I spent the day checking out the other cars and looking for interesting tech.
Over the coming days, I'll post more about some of the specific cars I saw. But for now, here are a few photos of the show, and of the museum itself.
Inside the museum were a number of special cars--including a Lamborghini Countach, a Ferrari 250 GTO Lusso, and some older Maseratis and other Italian cars (pictured). They were part of the permanent collection, which explained their presence on "German Car Day."
The turnout was surprisingly good, given the rain forecast—this photo shows only about half the field in full swing.
