Guys love games and hate asking for directions. So it makes sense that Sony would produce an add-on component for the PlayStation Portable to turn the handheld gaming device into something truly useful. While this isn't really news, since Sony announced the GPS kit earlier this year at CES, I did have a chance to take a peek at the actual dongle, which neatly plugs into the top of the unit.

I'm betting most gamers will want to play first, and those needing a lot of directions might go with TomTom. But Sony said it's considering bundling the unit with a car kit, which would include an adapter. That way you can get to your destination. If you arrive early, then you will have time to play a quick game! And if you're the type who doesn't need a GPS, Sony will also be unveiling a Madden PSP bundle in time for the game's August release.
