The image above features but a mere three of the nineteen new handsets (with a total of 64 body colors) unveiled by Japanese company, NTT DoCoMo, today, May 27, 2008. There are eight handsets in total under the 906i series all boasting VGA LCD screen, 3G/GSM connection with HSDPA, 1-Seg mobile TV, upgraded GPS location information, Chinese, Enlish, and Japanese voice-to-text translation, and mobile credit card payment functionality. The phones in the series can access DoCoMo's Music & Video Channel and can play Flash 8 and Windows Mobile Video on their full browsers.
On the other hand, there are 11 models in the 706i series, all of which are slim, specialized 1-seg mobile TV-enabled handsets. Among the slew of 706i phones is the Extra-Slim phone which is the slimmest 1-Seg handset available, the Waterproof 1-Seg phone, the Easy to Use phone with an enhanced intuitive user interface, and the Wellness phone which can be used to measure various factors of health and dieting. NTT DoCoMo's new 906i and 706i series handsets will begin shipment on June 1, 2008 and onwards, depending upon the model.
