About a year ago, I was boxing with a friend. I knocked him out in a few minutes and avoided getting a black eye or a knocked out tooth. This, however, was not in a real ring. It was instead a part of one of the many games for Nintendo Wii, called Wii Sports. Besides boxing, the game's other activities such as tennis, golf, baseball, and bowling proved to be an intense workout, something I thought was impossible in video games.

Games like these are what make the Nintendo Wii game console such an enormous hit. Both children and adults are desperately trying to get their hands on the system as well as businesses. Westin Hotels and Resorts just recently announced that ten of its hotels nationwide will incorporate Nintendo Wii into a fitness program.

"We jumped at the chance to be the first hotel to partner with Nintendo and add interactive entertainment to our successful WestinWORKOUT program," says Sue Brush, senior vice president of Westin Hotels & Resorts. "We think our guests will be eager to make Wii a part of their workouts during their stay with us."

Guests at the hotel locations will be able to work out both body and mind through games such as Wii Sports, Big Brain Academy, Wii Degree, and Wii Play. Westin will also be one of the first hotel brands to fully integrate the highly anticipated new game, Wii Fit, set for release in stores on the week of May 19 in North America. This game uses a new Nintendo Wii innovation, the Wii Balance Board, which allows people to workout in more than 40 aerobics, yoga, balance, and strength training activities.
