Accessory manufacturer LaCie today announced the release of its new d2 Blu-Ray Drive, which doubles the burn speeds of previous models to 4x. The new drive reads, records, and rewrites 25- and 50GB BD-R, BD-, DVD±RW DL, and CD±RW discs

The d2 Blu-Ray Drive comes bundled with Roxio's Easy Media Creator for Windows systems and Toast Titanium for Macs. It's also compatible with FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces.

The drive is available now for $649.99.
