IOGEAR just announced the GearJuice Rescue Charger. It's a light-weight, emergency energy source; think of it as Red Bull for your mobile devices.

The Rescue Charger operates on one AA battery, providing an instant energy charge to power cell phones and other devices with an additional 15 minutes of talk time and usage, saving individuals from losing connectivity.

"No one wants to be left stranded in the forest or on a mountain top with a dead mobile device if a critical situation occurs, 'said Miranda Su, executive vice president of IOGEAR. "Our GearJuice - Rescue Charger solves this problem, ensuring consumers never have to worry about losing the ability to get in touch when necessary." Besides emergencies, it's also great for people always on the go and whose lives are in their Blackberrys.

The GearJuice Rescue Charger is available immediately from major catalogs and online resellers, as well as select retail outlets ($11.99 list). IOGEAR offers a family of GearJuice products including GearJuice - Mobile Pocket Power, a device capable of fully charging a variety of mobile products three times without the need for an external power source.
