Car enthusiasts aren't always known for their environmental leanings—a quick glance at a '67 Camaro's engine bay, or the specs on the latest Porsche 911 will tell you all you need to know in that regard. But attitudes are shifting, and Car & Driver rounded up eight green cars that are either available today or will be very soon.
The Honda Civic GX, the upcoming FCX Clarity, and the clean diesel Volkswagen Jetta TDI made the list, along with GM's fuel cell pickup and of course the Tesla roadster. Don't miss the tongue-in-cheek references to the 1972 Honda N600, a dead 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S, and a passing mention of the 50-mpg Honda Civic VX from the early 90's, which TechnoRide bloggers and commenters have specifically mentioned on numerous occasions.
