Fiat's CEO said on Tuesday that the company could decide in six months when and where it will start making and selling cars under its Alfa Romeo brand in North America, according to Reuters. "The commitment is there (to find a way into the market), and it could even happen that we make a decision in the next six months," Sergio Marchionne told reporters.
The CEO said he aims to start manufacturing cars for the U.S. between 2010 and 2011. Fiat currently has a very small presence in America, selling cars both under Ferrari and Maserati, along with the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. With luck, we'll see them return sooner rather than later.
