If your tastes run toward the expensive, you may be interested in the revamped 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage's interior tech upgrades. Motor Trend reports that the manufacturer listed to complaints about the previous car's convoluted, "untactful" switchgear and redesigned and restyled the center stack. It's now "constructed from die-cast zinc alloy and finished in graphite silver, and [contains] new controls designed to be easier to operate than their predecessors."
The M/T report said that a new electronic key fob, dubbed ECU, mimics that of the DBS's glass, stainless steel, and polycarbonate unit, and replaces the old car's traditional key. There's also a new Hard Disk Drive Navigation System—they make it sound like they discovered the hard disk—that offers faster route processing and improved on-screen graphics.
Aside from that, the car receives a power upgrade to 420 hp, along with a revised Sportshift transmission with a new control program for smoother power delivery, the article said, along with Dual Throttle Map software that allows for "Sports" and "Comfort" modes that alter throttle tip in to "make around-town driving a smoother exercise while allowing for sharper inputs in spirited driving."
