Smart Fortwo microcar might not be taking America by storm. But the figure of 30,000 outstanding orders is quite impressive, considering that only a decade ago, when the car was first introduced, its mere presence on US roads would have been unthinkable.

The new Smart is almost 8 inches longer. Inside the vehicle the dash has had a slight facelift and been pushed back to increase cabin space. Doubts and concerns about 2008 Smart Fortwo's comfort and road manners are addressed in this quirky video of the Fifth Gear reporter spending 12 hours on the twisties.
